with everything that has happened lately, there is no way i can whine and complain about my life. no matter how bad i think it is, i know where everyone i love is tonight. my heart breaks for the people devastated by this tragedy.
it does make me wonder though, why does it take something this bad to bring out the basic goodness in people?
this was a terrible thing, but terrible things happen to people every day. there are little kids going to bed hungry tonight, there are people that don't have anywhere to go.if we were always so loving and generous to our fellow man these would be problems of the past.
coop and i moved into a new house a couple of weeks ago. i very much like it. the neighborhood is great and it's like 4 minutes away from my job.
the girls are doing great. dace is in utah for the summer. hayden and i were just there for a week. it was so good to see my family again. i really miss them.
i'm happy here though, it's getting to be home.
last night my little family saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, i loved it ever so much. i have a thing for Johnny D though. i love the other one too. this one is closer to the book and has the genius of tim burton to back it up.
we are going to comic-con tomorrow (yes i know i'm a huge dork) it should be fun though. i'm excited to check it out. i'll have to tell you how it goes.
hmmm.....where to even start? we saw velvet revolver last week, it was good times. i listened to the fall to peices song like 800 times in a row and decided not to move back to utah. for some reason i'm hopelessly in love with this boy and his heart is here so i suppose mine is as well.
i moved up at work and i officially have my own office. someone whom i love and miss ever so much should send me a very cool photo to put up in it. speaking of, i've called you like alot and always get voicemail and never a return call. it is heartbreaking.
the girls are doing very well. they seem happy and well adjusted so i don't feel bad about the decision to stay here.
i miss my little mindsay world, but i can't reply or update at work. when i try a little screen pops up and says something about beta, if anyone knows how to fix that let me know.
for anyone who at all cares, which i'm sure is not many - heehehee. in that last post i was very upset about coop cancelling our plans at the last minute. in all fairness, he did end up having food poisening and spent the rest of the weekend in a good deal of pain and discomfort. i suppose that is a valid reason to cancel dinner plans.
nevermind that last post. coop decided 10 minutes before we were supposed to go, after i was all excited and ready that he'd rather take a nap that do something with me.
If you are together, together with a person, like married or living together is it still called a date when you go out? i still call it a date, maybe i'm weird. well we all know i'm weird but you know what i mean. coop and i are going on a date tonight and i feel like i should get all prettied up, like paint my nails and break out the lipstick, make sure my unders match and are pretty, not like he would care. do any of you still do that?
So what’s new? Well not a whole lot. I’m still addicted to my game. I’m on the second of four books Coop got me for Christmas. I highly recommend The Sword of Shannara series by Terry Brooks. That said when I finish I don’t know what to read next. I was hoping some of you wonderful people could give me some suggestions. I’m up for anything, except romance, let’s not bother to perpetuate that stereotype of what love is.
Also, I read to the kidlets every night. We are currently reading a Moomintroll book by Tove Jansenn which I also highly recommend. I’ll be finished with that book in about a week, so I’m up for suggestions for that as well.
Hmm. While I’m asking about things, have you seen any good movies or what about music? I’m so out of the loop. All I do isI my game and listen to air America.
